藏傳佛教僧俗製作擦擦的目的在於積攢善業功德，並將其視作消災祈福的聖物

他們以神聖純淨的虔誠之心崇奉佛教，以非常人所能做到的畢生追求，叩長頭，轉神湖，繞聖山，轉經朝聖，他們認為為佛造像是一種積累功德的善行，他們敬塑佛像，打造擦擦，以最飽滿的宗教激情，不厭其煩，不遺餘力，力求在這小小的天地中開闢出大大的乾坤。

     此法為釋迦師利的四大法之ㄧ。從此白文殊法遂傳至西藏，歷來多有大師修行此法而獲得極高成就。格魯派中即有多位大師修習白文殊瑜伽而昇起廣大慈悲及菩提心，講說、辯論、撰述俱通達無礙，其他教派亦然；故此法門極為殊勝。

Lord Manjushri brandishes a sword in his right hand, cutting away our ignorance and negative states of mind which form the basis of all our suffering. In his left hand is a magnificent blue lotus flower, on which rests the Great Wisdom Sutra.

Manjushri's blessings help us develop understanding, communication skills, and improved memory, amongst other things. Images of Manjushri are commonly found in libraries and study rooms in monasteries. Keeping his image will be very beneficial for students, for those in education and communication industries, and for anyone who wishes to receive Manjushri's blessings, gaining the wisdom to free ourselves from our delusions and negative habituations.
